Miss Panagiota Founti is a highly regarded consultant ophthalmologist with over 15 years of experience based in London. She treats many areas of ophthalmologhy, focusing principally on glaucoma, cataract surgery and glaucoma surgery (trabeculectomy and tubes), alongside minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, dry eyes and glaucoma laser procedures (laser trabeculoplasty and laser iridotomy). She practises at the renowned Moorfields Private Eye Hospital London.
Miss Founti studied medicine at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She also undertook a bachelor of science in medical research methodology and a PhD (distinction) in ocular blood flow at the same university.
She is currently pursuing further research, as an honorary senior research associate at the Institute of Ophthalmology, University College London. As well as her dedication to research, she is truly invested in medical education. She is a Royal College of Physicians accredited educational supervisor and previously held the role of deputy director for quality in teaching and learning at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
