Dr Paul Holmes is a highly esteemed consultant neurologist, specialising in migraine, vertigo, blackouts and symptoms of numbness and weakness. He provides an acute liaison neurology service, with particular interest in stroke, headache, intensive care neurology and the neurology of HIV infection in his role as consultant neurologist at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ Hospitals 

Dr Holmes studied for his medical degree in 1991 at the University of Witswatersrand, Johannesburg before relocating to the UK to undergo further specialist training in neurology, partly at the renowned National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and also at King's College Hospital Trust. He was awarded a MD in transient ischemic attack (TIA) and stroke imagining in 2000, topics on which he is regularly consulted for a second opinion owing to his expertise. Dr Holmes became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2005 and is also passionate about the education of trainee doctors in his capacity as honorary senior lecturer at King’s College Hospital.
