Miss Rajvinder Khasriya, who has been a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists since 2012, currently serves as a consultant in urogynaecology at The Portland Hospital, where she leads the Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms Service at Whittington Health, a distinguished tertiary center dedicated to the treatment and study of chronic urinary tract infections (UTIs).
Her clinical expertise includes a special interest in pelvic pain, and she co-manages a specialised pelvic pain clinic in collaboration with the Pain Management Centre at UCLH. Miss Khasriya completed her undergraduate medical training at University College London (UCL). She further pursued a PhD at UCL, completing her thesis in 2011 on "The role of bacterial infection in the aetiology of the overactive bladder," supervised by Professor James Malone-Lee and Professor Mike Wilson at the Eastman Dental Institute.
She finalised her subspecialty training in Urogynaecology at UCLH in 2018. In addition to her clinical roles, Miss Khasriya is the Clinical Principal Investigator (PI) for the Bladder Infection and Immunity Group (BIIG) at University College London. This research group, part of the Centre for Kidney & Bladder Health at the Eastman Dental Institute for Microbial Diseases, is internationally recognised for its pioneering work in the study and treatment of urinary tract infections. Miss Khasriya’s contributions to both clinical practice and research reflect her dedication to advancing the understanding and management of complex urogynaecological conditions, improving care and outcomes for her patients.
