Dr Ranjit Sagoo is a UK-trained and GMC-licenced doctor with over 15 years’ experience. He gained his medical degree (MBCHB) at Leicester University in 2006 after which he trained in Orthopaedics and Surgery before becoming a GP in 2013, also obtaining membership to the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).
During his career as a GP, Dr Sagoo gained a post-graduate diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology; Dermatology and developed his practice in community-based surgical procedures.
Alongside this, Dr Sagoo gained the Diploma in Lifestyle Medicine, having an interest in lifestyle-based approaches to health and wellbeing, holistic healthcare and disease prevention and reversal. Dr Sagoo believes that we are not destined to develop chronic disease and ill-health and that we can reverse established disease through lifestyle-based approaches with the correct coaching.
Dr Sagoo is also a Certified Professional Coach and Neurolinguistic Programming Practitioner (NLP). Combining his knowledge and experience in lifestyle medicine with coaching and NLP methods and tools, Dr Sagoo helps patients to make fundamental life-long changes that are going to improve their health and wellbeing, reduce the burden of existing conditions and reduce the need for multiple medications.
Whether patients already suffer from chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, autoimmune conditions, anxiety and depression, or whether they are keen to start taking positive steps towards looking after their long-term health, Dr Sagoo’s holistic approach exploring physical, psychological, wellbeing, nutrition, social connection and sleep science helps patients to understand the root cause of their problems, to enable them to make life-changing shifts in creating happier, healthier, disease-free lives. Outside of medicine and coaching, Dr Sagoo is an award-winning Fine Art Wildlife Artist. His passion is supporting wildlife conservation through art that captures the viewer visually through its realism and emotionally thought-out story.
Dr Sagoo also enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and playing sports, particularly football, running and kickboxing.
