Miss Sarah Matthews is an experienced London-based consultant gynaecologist, with over 20 years' experience. She has one of the broadest experiences of all consultant gynaecologists in the UK, through her work in some of the largest, most prestigious fertility units in the country. She specialises in gynaecology, with a subspeciality in reproductive medicine and surgery, and special interest in fertility preservation, early pregnancy problems, and recurrent miscarriage. She is involved in the training of junior gynaecologists, and their formal examinations, as well as tutoring medical students at Cambridge University. Miss Matthews is also trained in genito-urinary medicine and psychiatric medicine, and is a qualified Forensic Medical Officer, meaning she is trained in the assessment and care of rape victims. She has also made TV and radio appearances, as an authority in her field, and has contributed as an author to several women's magazine articles on the subject of gynaecology.
