Dr Shabana Bora

Dr Shabana Bora is a consultant gynaecologist, fertility specialist and co-founder of Alma Fertility based at LIPS Healthcare in Battersea, London.

Dr Bora is dedicated to delivering individualised, compassionate fertility care, tailored to each patient’s unique needs. With extensive expertise, she specialises in managing fertility issues, PCOS, endometriosis, diminished ovarian reserve, and early pregnancy complications, including recurrent miscarriage.

She has extensive expertise in guiding patients seeking general fertility advice, support, and assisted conception. She provides comprehensive care for individuals undergoing IVF, ICSI, IUI, egg and sperm donation, and fertility preservation, managing their treatment journey from the initial consultation through to ongoing support.

Dr Bora achieved a degree in medicine from King’s College, London and attained her core specialist training and in gynaecology in North West London. She has worked at several large teaching hospitals throughout her career and was a research fellow at the University of St George's and Imperial College London. She has many peer-reviewed publications in medical journals and book chapters and is a member of the British Fertility Society (BFS), the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the British Menopause Society (BMS) and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG).

In 2023, she was awarded the 'Fertility Champion' award by the Mariposa Trust, a charity which supports families after pregnancy loss, in recognition of her work in caring and guiding her patients through their difficult journey of fertility. She achieved her own family through IVF and empathetically comprehends the struggles that fertility patients face. She is committed to offering the very best personalised care to her patients and to providing support in making the right decisions for them.

Dr Bora's practice is located in the vibrant new Battersea Power Station (BPS), in SW11, London, one of the UK’s first medical clinics situated within a retail space.
