Miss Shreya Srinivas is a consultant spinal surgeon with a full-time NHS practice at the Northern General Hospital and Sheffield Children’s Hospital, where she treats both adult and paediatric spinal conditions. She is highly experienced in managing the full spectrum of spinal problems, including deformity, trauma, tumours, and degenerative disease.
Miss Srinivas graduated from medical school in South India in 2003 before undertaking specialist orthopaedic training in Newcastle, Middlesbrough, and Liverpool. She developed a strong research foundation early in her career as a Research Fellow at the Nottingham Spine Unit (2008–2009) and went on to complete prestigious advanced fellowships. These include the AO North America Spine Fellowship at the Vancouver Spine Surgery Institute (2017–2018) and a Paediatric Spine Fellowship at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool (2018–2019).
Her clinical practice is complemented by an extensive background in research. She has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and presented her work at numerous national and international conferences. Her research interests focus on spinal tumours, registry-based studies, and the use of intraoperative navigation in scoliosis surgery.
Alongside her clinical and research commitments, Miss Srinivas is passionate about education and training. She plays an active role in teaching medical students and surgical trainees and currently leads undergraduate orthopaedic training at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.
