Review about Mr Stephen Lash

From my first consultation to my operation to finally being discharged my experience has been wonderful. Time taken to explain every step of my operation and the friendly professionalism of all staff from Reception to nurse to anaesthetist to Mr Lash himself. The outcome was more than I could have wished for. So thankyou to all at optegra.

I should not be surprised that my surgery was so very successful. I had been told by two NHS surgeons to only allow Mr Lash to do it as I had already had lens replacement surgery and subsequent laser treatment. I am delighted with the result.

I was really worried about having this procedure done as I had been told that as I had already undergone lens replacement and subsequent laser treatment, this second replacement would be very difficult. I had also been told by two NHS surgeons that the only person I should trust to do it was Mr Lash. Mr Lash is very friendly and instilled such confidence. My surgery took place three months ago and I am extremely pleased with the outcome.

First had contact many years ago when my late husband had cataract surgery with Stephen. He was very approachable and also an excellent surgeon. Just had cataracts on both eyes done at same time and treatment I received was excellent. Everything discussed prior to the surgery and Stephen called me the morning after surgery to see how I was. Although it is Stephen's profession you can tell he loves his job and makes the whole experience for his patients the best it can be. Thank you Stephen

Stephen Lash is highly experienced and has a naturally comforting nature which makes appointments a pleasure. Both my wife and I have had very successful operations for macular hole correction and double cataracts - we highly recommend him.

The visit to Mr Lash was all great, but the Top Doctors website appointment booking didn’t work properly and I booked directly with Tanya who is Mr Lash’s secretary.

I was referred to Stephen to perform a Vitrectomy due to my eye floaters seriously affecting my quality of life. I had never heard of this procedure and was therefore apprehensive however, after meeting with Stephen all my concerns were allayed. He took the time to explain in detail how he would perform the procedure including some video content for clarity. His professional team took great care of me.Stephen also took the time to phone me the days after procedure.My vision is now clear.

I would give 10 out of 10 for both my experiences of Vitrectomy surgery carried out by Mr Lash. He and his team are friendly & professional; puts you at ease throughout and gives you confidence that you are in the best care.

A really great experience, absolutely scared to bits before Surgery, however totally unnecessary as such a great environment and everyone who was involved so kind and such a happy crew Thank you fabulous result, no longer need glasses

This operation was a big decision for me. Mr Lash gave me the confidence in him to go ahead. Whist it was involved the final outcome has been brilliant.

I can only give op marks because the whole procedure was professionally performed and the result is amazing!
