Review about Mr Stephen Lash

I had a bi lateral cataract procedure performed by Mr Stephen Lash. The whole of my time with Mr Lash and his team from initial consultation through to my follow up and sign off was a superb experience and I now have my 20 20 vision back for driving and being able to enjoy my retirement. I cannot thank Stephen enough and would also mention his secretary Tanya for making the communication a joy to deal with, always rapid, efficient responses. They make a great team. Thanks also to the Nuffield.

I have no reservations in recommending Mr Lash. He is kind, considerate and explains everything in an easy way in which to understand and immediately put me at ease. I, like anyone would be, was rather frightened of an operation on my eye but he assured me that there would be no pain and that I would be taken care of from start to finish, which indeed I was. My outcome was way better than I had hoped for owing to his skill and reassurance.

Highest possible recommendation. I was referred to Mr Lash after unforeseen complications with my first cataract operation. Thank goodness! I immediately felt in safe hands, Mr Lash is an exemplary surgeon with excellent communication skills. His colleagues are equally impressive and praise for the anaesthetist and of course, the efficient and personable Tanya. My subsequent cataract operation (Mr Lash this time) went extremely well and my eyesight is the best it has been for over 50 years.

From my initial referral in January to final discharge 5 months later the service provided by Mr Lash and Tanya has been outstanding. Not enough stars to give them. Diagnosis was explained in clear terms with a defined treatment route highlighting the different scenarios that could unfold so when complications did arise, twice, i wasn't panicked or worried. Would definitely recommend to anyone and tell them they were in safe hands. Tanya was always available to answer my questions and queries.

Mr Lash is a first rate surgeon. He fitted two spiral lenses for me, the result being that I no longer need glasses. I am very pleased with the outcome and would recommend him highly.

Very pleased with Mr Lash. I saw him for urgent surgery on discovering I had a detached retina after a routine eye test. He was fantastic at explaining all of my options and really put me at ease in quite a frightening situation. The procedure was quick and had no problems during or afterwards. The after care was great and communication was fantastic with his assistant Tanya. Hopefully I don't have to see him again, but should my other retina detach I will be calling Mr Lash straight away.

Mr Lash combines great expertise with a down to earth friendly manner and easy-going style. This helps alleviate any anxieties and ensures you feel relaxed. He inspires great confidence and this contributes to an all round excellent service. His secretary, Tanya, is another very friendly and helpful memnber of the team. I am extremely happy with the whole Cataract procedure and particularly with Mr Lash an d his competence. The outcomes for me have been dramatic and hopefully I will not need to wear glasses again.

From my first consultation to my operation to finally being discharged my experience has been wonderful. I should not be surprised that my surgery was so very successful. I had been told by two NHS surgeons to only allow Mr Lash to do it as I had already had lens replacement surgery and subsequent laser treatment. I am delighted with the result.

First had contact many years ago when my late husband had cataract surgery with Stephen. He was very approachable and also an excellent surgeon. Just had cataracts on both eyes done at same time and treatment I received was excellent. Everything discussed prior to the surgery and Stephen called me the morning after surgery to see how I was. Stephen Lash is highly experienced and has a naturally comforting nature which makes appointments a pleasure. Both my wife and I have had very successful operations for macular hole correction and double cataracts - we highly recommend him.
