Professor Terence Wardle is a consultant in general internal medicine, specialising in therapeutic endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and hepatology. He is currently based at Nuffield Health The Grosvenor Hospital in Chester. Professor Wardle is very active in academia and at present holds the position of Dean of Medicine at the University of Chester.
With a very diverse background, ranging from time spent as a biomedical scientist before pursuing medicine, Professor Wardle has shaped his own path to becoming one of the top internal medicine specialists in the UK. Professor Wardle is very active in research, with his research focusing on gastroenterology, including inflammation, cancer and endoscopy, as well as medical problems in trauma patients and medical education. To date, Professor Wardle's research has received grants worth more than £2.9 million.
