Dr Vimal Grover is a leading, dual-accredited, consultant in critical care medicine and anaesthesia based in London. He specialises in adult critical care, the early diagnosis of infections (such as sepsis) in critically ill patients, and the provision of anaesthesia for major operations, including pre-operative assessments, major oncological surgeries and robotic procedures.
Dr Grover qualified from the University of Bristol in 2000, obtaining double qualifications in medicine and in cellular and molecular pathology. His BSc work, which was immunology-based, was endorsed by the Wolfson Foundation and the Wellcome Trust. Dr Grover then completed most of his postgraduate training in north west London before going on to conduct translational research in critically ill patients, sponsored by the National Institute of Academic Anaesthesia. Dr Grover was awarded an MD from Imperial College London for this research, upon its completion.
Besides his clinical work, Dr Grover is an active contributor to medical education and training. He is part of the teaching staff at Imperial College London and the co-founder of a course in anaesthesia for junior trainees.
