LOC at The Christie Private Care (HCA) is a dedicated cancer care facility at The Christie Private Care in Manchester, provided by Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC). The facility, which is a partnership with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, provides consultation and day-case treatment in surroundings that are modern and comfortable. Treatments offered include chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy and supportive care. LOC at The Christie Private Care also offers a comprehensive day-case chemotherapy service and oncology outpatients department. Patients receive treatment in a calm, comfortable and supportive environment. LOC at The Christie Private Care's consultants specialise in medical and clinical oncology. They are supported by clinical nurse specialists and teams of nurses who have experience in supporting and managing individuals throughout all stages of diagnosis and treatment. The facility has been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark® (MQEM). It was developed in collaboration with more than 400 people living with cancer, who helped to shape its criteria. The award recognises that LOC at The Christie Private Care provides a welcoming and comfortable environment for people with cancer. It also acknowledges the team at the facility respect visitor privacy, treating them with dignity and that our facilities help to improve well-being.
