Treating hair loss with mesotherapy
Men, as they age, commonly experience hair loss. It can occur due to genetics, hormones, and environmental factors. The primary cause of male hair loss is androgenic alopecia, also known as male pattern baldness. It is an inherited condition that is responsible for 95 per cent of hair loss in men, giving them a receding hairline and thinning crown. Genetically, it is because there is a sensitivity to a byproduct of testosterone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT). This sensitivity is reflected in a shrinking of hair follicles, which impedes hair growth. In this article, a hair transplant surgeon talks about mesotherapy, a treatment that unravels hair loss.
