Urodynamics in female urology: What is it, and how can it help?
Urodynamics and urodynamic testing refers to a group of tests used to assess how well the bladder, urethra and pelvic floor muscles store and release urine. In female urology, these tests are especially helpful in understanding problems like urinary incontinence, frequent urination or difficulty emptying the bladder. Urodynamic studies provide valuable information that cannot be obtained from symptoms or physical examination alone.
