Professor Geoffrey Dusheiko is a consultant hepatologist in London who specialises in viral and chronic hepatitis, primary liver cancer and antiviral treatment.

Professor Dusheiko earned his MBBS degree from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. His fellowships were conducted at the Johannesburg Hospital Liver Unit and the National Institutes of Health, Maryland and the University of Minnesota, USA.

Professor Dusheiko is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, the Royal College of Physicians of South Africa and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.

He is an author of the World Health Organisation’s HBV guidelines and has also authored or co-authored more than 360 articles in international peer-reviewed journals or books.
