Dr Jason Goh is an expert gastroenterologist in Birmingham, who specialises in inflammatory bowel disease, bowel cancer screening and advanced colonoscopy.

Dr Goh graduated from Trinity College Dublin with honours and trained in gastroenterology, liver medicine and general medicine at St James’ Hospital and Mater Hospital, Dublin. After receiving his MD thesis from the University College Dublin, Dr Goh served as a university lecturer at Trinity College and pursued a post-CCST fellowship at Addenbrooks Hospital in Cambridge.

He has been a consultant gastroenterologist at the University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust since 2002. Dr Goh is a nationally accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist who leads the bower cancer screening programme at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Dr Goh is also an honorary senior clinical lecturer and a postgraduate clinical tutor at the University of Birmingham, and tutors at the Royal College of Physician College and is an associate editor of the World Journal of Gastroenterology.

He has published many journals on IBD, constipation, general gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr Goh was the recipient of the Astra Gold Medal in Gastroenterology in 2000 and JMS Doctors of the Year for best research in gastroenterology in 2003.
