London Haematology, which is part of The London Clinic Group, is situated in Marylebone and provides a range of treatments for patients with haematological disorders. These include acute and chronic leukaemia, lymphomas, multiple myelomas, myeloproliferative disorders and myelodysplastic syndromes. The practice is served by four highly-qualified and experienced consultants, Professor John Gribben, Dr Michael Potter, Dr Richard Kaczmarski and Dr Riaz Jan-Mohamed. They offer outpatient consultations and have inpatient facilities at The London Clinic, which has a state-of-the-art intensive care unit for dialysis. The London Haematology unit offers rapid access to diagnostics from its pathology and radiology services and has immediate access to CT scans, MRIs, ultrasound scans and other tests. The London Clinic is one of a small number of hospitals in the UK to offer adult patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma – an aggressive form of blood cancer - a new, cutting-edge form of immunotherapy called CAR-T cell therapy. The clinic has a close association with the Anthony Nolan, DKMS and the British Bone Marrow Registry (BBMR). They are the largest JACIE accredited stem cell collection centre in the whole of Europe for peripheral blood stem cells collections (PBSC) and bone marrow harvest volunteer donors. The clinic provides safe chemotherapy, immunotherapy and biological treatments. They insert Hickman and PICC lines so that blood tests, chemotherapies and blood product support are given painlessly. Patients are offered holistic treatment such as massage, aromatherapy and counselling, and have access to the unit out-of-hours.
