Mount Alvernia Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, has been treating patients in the Guildford area for almost 90 years, providing outpatient, day-case and inpatient services across a range of specialities including orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, women’s health, gastroenterology, gynaecology and dermatology. It is one of the only private hospitals in the area to provide PET CT scanning. Alongside surgery, patients can also attend the hospital for private cancer care, physiotherapy and pathology (the hospital has a laboratory for blood tests and analysis). The on-site pharmacy also enables convenient collection of prescribed medication. Mount Alvernia’s private GPs are also based in the hospital; they offer 30-minute appointments and can easily refer onward to expert specialists, as well as for tests, scans and physiotherapy should patients require them.
