Mrs Aenone Harper-Machin

Mrs Aenone Harper-Machin is a leading consultant plastic surgeon based in Chester. Her areas of expertise include face lifting, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, otoplasty, pinnaplasty, abdominoplasty, and neck lift. She also specialises in managing skin cancers of the head and neck, such as melanoma.  

Mrs Harper-Machin consults privately at Nuffield Health Chester, The Grosvenor Hospital. With over 19 years’ experience, she is also the medical director of The Grange Clinic and holds an NHS role at Whiston Hospital.

Mrs Harper-Machin qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2006. She then undertook 4 years of postgraduate training in Bristol, Yorkshire, south Wales, Manchester and Merseyside before completing an additional 8 years of higher specialist training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. This included a prestigious head and neck microsurgery reconstruction fellowship at the renowned Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. 

In her practice, Mrs Harper-Machin employs free tissue transfer and intricate microsurgery techniques to reconstruct facial features and reconnect facial nerves. This microsurgical expertise equips her with comprehensive aesthetic surgery skills across all body areas. Mrs Harper-Machin also serves as an honorary clinical lecturer in head and neck surgery since 2017. She oversees clinical audit projects at Whiston Hospital, committed to upholding the highest standards of care, and has contributed to academic literature, co-authoring a chapter in the Biomedical Visualisation textbook.
