Dr Amin Gorgy

Dr Amin Gorgy is a nationally renowned fertility specialist in London, who specialises in fertility medicine, egg freezing and IVF, alongside ovarian rejuvenation and endometrial rejuvenation. He privately practices at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy, where he is the co-director. 

Dr Gorgy has been practising in fertility and assisted conception since 1994. He previously served as clinical director of the London Fertility and Gynaecology Centre, where he developed clinical protocols and helped advance techniques such as microsurgical sperm retrieval (PESA and TESA), assisted hatching and blastocyst transfer. He later worked as a consultant gynaecologist and deputy director at the Assisted Reproduction and Gynaecology Centre (ARGC) from 2000 to 2005, contributing to the unit’s success and pioneering the use of pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) and reproductive immunology.

A leading authority in reproductive immunology, Dr Gorgy collaborated with the late Dr Alan Beer to treat patients with immune-related fertility challenges. He is acknowledged as an associate of the Beer’s Institute and is mentioned in Dr Beer’s book Is Your Body Baby-Friendly?. His expertise attracts patients from around the world, and he has developed a deep understanding of diverse cultural and medical needs.

Dr Gorgy obtained his medical degree from Cairo University in 1978, followed by a master’s degree in obstetrics and gynaecology in 1984. He became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 1993 and was later awarded fellowship (FRCOG) in 2006. He is a member of numerous professional organisations, including the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the British Fertility Society, and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).

In addition to his London practice, Dr Gorgy established a successful assisted conception unit at Alsalam Hospital in Cairo, which he continues to visit regularly. His patient-centred approach, combining medical expertise with compassion and understanding, has made him one of the most sought-after fertility specialists in the UK. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
