Ms Catherine Sternberg is a consultant oral surgeon practising in Oxford and Basingstoke . She specialises in the surgical removal of impacted teeth, complicated or buried teeth or roots, exposure of buried or delayed teeth and benign soft tissue lumps, as well as performing frenectomies and sedation
Ms Sternberg qualified in 1993 from Birmingham University and joined the specialist register in 1997. In 2009 she was appointed consultant. She is a dentistry fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, where she was also an examiner, and is accredited with the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry. She was previously an elected council member for the British Association of Oral Surgeons. Ms Sternberg has worked for Health Education England (now NHS England, Workforce, training and Education) as the Regional Advisor and Training Programme Director for the Dental Foundation training programme.
In addition to her practice, Ms Sternberg has a keen interest in the influence of computerised tomography results in treatment planning exposure of unerupted teeth, third molar surgery and the correlation of computerised tomography results with clinical outcomes following third molar tooth removal.
Ms Sternberg is registered with the General Dental Council with number 69527GDC.
