Professor David Beckett

Professor David Beckett is a highly experienced consultant interventional radiologist and vascular consultant practising in Poole and London at The Whiteley Clinic. He specialises in minimally invasive treatments for venous disease, with particular expertise in varicose veins, pelvic congestion syndrome and pelvic vein embolisation. He also has extensive experience in endovenous treatments for venous conditions.

Professor Beckett has worked at The Whiteley Clinic since 2008, following the Whiteley Protocol®, and has performed more than 1,000 procedures for pelvic venous disease since 2009. He has a particular interest in pelvic congestion syndrome and has presented and taught techniques for its treatment both nationally and internationally. His specialist training includes an Endovascular Fellowship at the Sheffield Vascular Institute, following radiology training in Birmingham and Sheffield, and he was appointed consultant interventional radiologist at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital in 2008.

Alongside his clinical work, Professor Beckett is actively involved in research and the development of treatments for venous disease, with several publications focusing on pelvic venous disorders and endovascular management. He is also committed to medical education, regularly teaching doctors about varicose vein treatments and pelvic congestion syndrome through courses and international training programmes.
