He is also an expert in the treatment of complex abdominal wall hernias and gallstone disease.
Within the NHS, he is the Clinical Lead for the hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) and liver transplant surgery service at the Royal Free Hospital in London, one of the largest centres in the UK. His professional focus lies in treating complex conditions affecting the liver, pancreas, and gallbladder, with patients referred to him from across the UK and beyond.
Mr Nasralla completed his medical degree at Oxford University Medical School and trained in hospitals across the UK. He completed a PhD at Oxford University investigating a new method of liver preservation known as "normothermic liver perfusion", aimed at maintaining the liver's vitality outside the body to enhance its suitability for transplantation.
His exceptional contributions have earned him numerous national and international accolades, including recognition as a rising star by the International Liver Transplantation Society and the prestigious Medawar Medal by the British Transplantation Society. He is frequently invited to deliver lectures at international surgical gatherings and has had his work showcased on the cover of the journal Nature.
