Dr Deb Ghosh

Dr Deb Ghosh is a highly respected consultant gastroenterologist based in Hertfordshire, practising at Ramsay Rivers Hospital. He specialises in a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal conditions, with particular expertise in reflux, peptic ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s disease, liver disease, and colorectal cancer. Known for his compassionate approach, Dr Ghosh combines extensive clinical knowledge with advanced endoscopic skills to provide expert care for both acute and chronic gastrointestinal disorders.

He manages complex liver conditions, including viral hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, autoimmune liver disease, and fatty liver disease, and treats a range of colorectal and gastrointestinal problems such as chronic abdominal pain, ulcerative colitis, rectal bleeding, and gastrointestinal cancers. Dr Ghosh is trained in advanced procedures including ERCP, stenting, variceal banding, PEG insertion, and dilation, ensuring patients receive precise, tailored interventions. He sees patients aged 16 and above and is committed to delivering personalised, high-quality care.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Ghosh serves as Principal Investigator for an ongoing multi-centre chronic liver disease trial and holds key roles within his trust as the lead for hepatology and departmental lead for audit.
