Professional statement
Mr James Tibbott is a distinguished consultant gynaecologist specialising in general gynaecological services, with particular expertise in the management of chronic pelvic pain and menstrual dysfunction, practising at Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital.
He is highly experienced in advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) and minimal access surgery for the diagnosis and treatment of all stages of endometriosis, as well as the removal of fibroids and cysts and the performance of total laparoscopic hysterectomies. He takes a holistic, patient-centred approach and offers a broad range of evidence-based treatment options, including conservative, medical and surgical management.

Alongside his surgical practice, he runs outpatient hysteroscopy clinics and has extensive experience in the management of menstrual disorders. He provides comprehensive care for both pre-menopausal and post-menopausal patients, supporting them across the full range of hormone replacement therapies, including testosterone replacement and treatments that may not be routinely available in local hospitals.
Mr Tibbott is the regional Yorkshire and Humber laparoscopic simulation lead and has contributed to national training initiatives through his role on the task and finish group for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists’ national training programme.
