Mr Ken Mannan is a renowned consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in hip and knee replacement surgery, as well as hip pain, knee pain, arthritis, osteoarthritis, and sports injuries. He currently practises at the Nuffield Health York Hospital.
He studied medicine at King’s College London and qualified in 1995. He completed his surgical training in London, including a year at the Peripheral Nerve Injury Unit at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. He went on to complete a tailored fellowship in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty at the Royal London Hospital under Professor G. Scott.
In 2010, Mr Mannan relocated to Yorkshire to take up a consultant position at Scarborough Hospital and has worked for York Teaching Hospital NHS Trust since 2012. Since 2014, he has served as deputy clinical director for trauma and orthopaedics on the east coast. Within the NHS, he is an enthusiastic trainer of orthopaedic surgeons and was named Yorkshire Trainer of the Year in 2013.
