Mr Kevin Smith

Mr Kevin Smith is a senior consultant orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in hand surgery. He treats a wide range of common hand conditions, including Dupuytren’s disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome and hand arthritis.

With over 25 years of clinical experience as a consultant in both the NHS and Independent sectors, focusing purely on hand and wrist problems – both electively and in the treatment of acute hand and wrist trauma and trauma – Mr Smith is committed to delivering outstanding care to his patients. He is recognised for his skill, professionalism, and dedication to achieving optimal results. To provide the most effective treatments, Mr Smith keeps himself informed about the latest advancements and techniques in orthopaedic hand surgery.

Along with a colleague, he has recently established a local service which provides joint replacement as an option for people suffering with arthritis of the wrist, and more commonly, from pain at the base of the thumb.
