Mr Khalid Riaz

Mr Khalid Riaz is a consultant ophthalmologist in Manchester and Leeds who specialises in laser eye surgery, refractive lens exchange, and cataracts, alongside lens replacement with intraocular lenses, ICL implants and YAG laser capsulotomy. He privately practises at Optical Express - Bridgewater Eye Hospital in Manchester and Optical Express - Leeds Eye Hospital, and works within the NHS.

Mr Riaz has performed more than 18,000 surgeries throughout his career. He began his professional journey in Pakistan before obtaining further qualifications in the UK in 2002.

He holds an MBBS from Bahauddin Zakariya University (1992), followed by FCPS (Ophthalmology) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (2022) and FRCSEd (Ophthalmology) from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. His practice involves routine consultations and surgical interventions for conditions affecting vision clarity and ocular health.

Mr Riaz is registered with the General Medical Council and the Irish Medical Council. His professional affiliations include Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.
