Laura Platt is an experienced psychotherapist with over 20 years’ experience in the mental health sector. She specialises in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), supporting adults with a wide range of psychological challenges.
Throughout her career, Laura has combined clinical expertise with exceptional leadership, having overseen large clinical teams and networks of clinicians delivering thousands of sessions each week. Laura’s professional journey has seen her progress from senior CBT therapist roles into senior leadership positions, including Head of Clinical Network and Head of Internal Clinical Services and Service Delivery Manager in numerous large-scale private psychological services. In these roles, she successfully integrated large clinical networks, streamlined governance models, and managed the delivery of care across thousands of sessions each week. She has also been responsible for clinical supervision, mentorship, and the training of both clinicians and leadership teams.
Her leadership has been recognised for improving clinician wellbeing, reducing attrition, and enhancing service outcomes.
With a reputation for openness, honesty and transparency, Laura is widely regarded as a trusted and approachable leader in the mental health field. Laura has also completed Neurolinguistic Programming Practitioner (NLP) training and utilises this along with her other training to provide business and personal coaching.
