Dr Madhusudhan Mali

Dr Madhusudhan Mali is a highly skilled consultant in pain management and anaesthesia based in Orpington, practising at Chelsfield Park Hospital and LycaHealth Orpington. He specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal pain, with particular expertise in low back pain, neck pain and sciatica. He adopts a patient-centred approach, using a combination of medical therapies and minimally invasive procedures to effectively manage and relieve pain.

Dr Mali’s clinical practice focuses on the management of chronic pain conditions, including mechanical back pain and whiplash-related neck pain. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive and non-surgical treatments, such as image-guided injections and radiofrequency procedures, designed to provide long-term relief and improve patients’ quality of life.

He qualified with an MBBS from the University of Mysore in 1998 and completed postgraduate training in Anaesthesia in Mumbai. After moving to the UK, he undertook higher specialist training in Pain Management and Anaesthetics in Birmingham and at Imperial College London. Dr Mali has extensive NHS experience and was appointed Lead Consultant for the Chronic Pain Service at Darent Valley Hospital in 2010, where he has played an important role in developing and expanding pain management services.
