Dr Manav Sohal

Dr Manav Sohal is a consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist at Cleveland Clinic London Hospital, with a specialised focus on heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias) and their treatment. He sees adolescent patients from 12 years old and older.

Dr Sohal qualified in 2012 from the University of London and completed his general cardiology training at some of the busiest hospitals in London and along the south coast, before advancing to sub-specialist training in electrophysiology and pacing at Brighton and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. He further honed his expertise through a prestigious European fellowship in Belgium, where he acquired extensive experience in innovative interventional techniques for managing both simple and complex heart rhythm disorders. He is a certified electrophysiologist with the European Heart Rhythm Association, one of the few cardiologists in the UK to hold the certification. In 2021, he was awarded a PhD from King's College London.

Dr Sohal treats patients with a wide range of cardiology issues, with a special focus on heart rhythm disturbances. He is highly skilled in both medical and interventional approaches to arrhythmias, with a particular interest in complex ablation procedures and the implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators. He has performed thousands of ablations and pacing procedures.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Sohal serves as the clinical lead for cardiology at St George’s Hospital, the regional referral centre for southwest London and Surrey, and as Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George’s University. He is also a reviewer for medical journals such as EP Europace and Circulation: Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology.
