
Mr Maneesh Ghei
Professional statement
Mr Maneesh Ghei is a highly regarded consultant urological surgeon with a specialist interest in minimally invasive urology, complex endourology, and kidney stone disease. Mr Ghei is also the current lead cancer clinician for the Department of Urology and chair of the multidisciplinary meeting at Whittington Hospital.
Mr Ghei completed his medical degree (MBBS) at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in India and undertook his residency in general surgery there, gaining extensive surgical experience. He completed his higher medical training in the UK and at the University of London, where he was awarded an MD (Doctor of Medicine).
Mr Ghei completed his urological training in South Wales, achieving a Fellowship in the Treatment of Urological Stone Disease and Laparoscopy, as well as Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Urol). Mr Ghei maintains a strong interest in research and has led a globally recognised clinical trial focusing on the treatment of overactive bladder.
He currently supervises a PhD student researching targeted therapies in prostate cancer, including focal therapies and cryotherapy. Mr Ghei is a strong supporter of prostate cancer awareness and the Movember campaign.
