Dr Marawan El Farargy is a consultant interventional radiologist practising at the Lister Hospital in Hertfordshire. He treats a range of conditions using minimally invasive, image-guided techniques, including uterine fibroids and adenomyosis, peripheral arterial disease affecting the legs, and varicocele. His practice also covers vascular and dialysis access, image-guided biopsy and drainage, and other interventional procedures.
Dr El Farargy is on the GMC Specialist Register for Clinical Radiology, with subspecialty practice in Interventional Radiology (GMC number 7476465). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) and holds the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR) qualification awarded by the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe (CIRSE). He is a member of the British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR) and of CIRSE.
Dr El Farargy founded Pinhole Clinic to offer patients minimally invasive, image-guided treatment options as part of their wider specialist care. Pinhole Clinic is the private practice of Dr Marawan El Farargy, and consultations and procedures take place at Hertfordshire Private Healthcare at the Lister Hospital. He works as part of a multidisciplinary team, alongside the gynaecology, vascular and urology specialists involved in each patient's care.
He also holds a substantive NHS consultant post at the East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust, where he is involved in developing the interventional radiology service. Dr El Farargy takes part in medical research, has co-authored publications, and has presented at national and international conferences. He has received awards from the British Society of Interventional Radiology.
Dr El Farargy is recognised by BUPA, AXA, Aviva, Vitality, Allianz, WPA, and Healix.
