Mr Michael Elvey
Professional background
Mr Michael Elvey is a renowned consultant orthopaedic hand and wrist surgeon. He graduated from the Royal Free and University College London Medical School in 2007, obtaining an MBBS alongside a BSc (Hons) in Medical Law. He currently practises at the Chase Lodge Hospital.
He completed his specialist orthopaedic training on the University College London Hospital Programme, followed by advanced subspecialty fellowships in Hand and Wrist surgery at the internationally renowned Wrightington Upper Limb Unit and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He has contributed to major textbooks, serves as a reviewer for leading hand and wrist journals, and retains a strong interest in medical law. His specialist clinical interests include joint replacement, minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery, and sports injuries, caring for patients ranging from recreational athletes to elite professionals, including competitors from the Premier League, Rugby League, the LTA, and professional boxing.
