Mr Mihai Tiuca

Dr Mihai Tiuca is a leading consultant vascular surgeon based in Manchester, practising at The Whiteley Clinic. He has almost 20 years of experience in venous procedures, with particular expertise in the treatment of varicose veins, including endovenous laser treatment (EVLA), foam sclerotherapy and phlebectomy.

Dr Tiuca developed a particular interest in venous surgery throughout his career and has continued to advance his expertise through specialist courses, conferences and congresses across Europe. His surgical training began in Romania before he moved to Ireland in 2009 to pursue a career in vascular surgery, followed by further training in London. He was recognised as a consultant vascular surgeon in 2018 and subsequently gained extensive experience in emergency and complex vascular surgery in Wales.

His interest in modern venous treatments led him to work closely with Professor Whiteley and become a member of the College of Phlebology before joining The Whiteley Clinic. He follows the Whiteley Protocol, keeping his practice aligned with the latest developments in the investigation and treatment of varicose veins and other venous conditions.
