Mr Mofid Ibraheim

Mr Mofid Ibraheim is a consultant urogynaecologist in Chester. He specialises in pelvic floor reconstructive surgery, vaginal prolapse and urinary incontinence, alongside overactive bladder, bladder problems, vaginismus and labiaplasty. He practises privately at Nuffield Health The Grosvenor Hospital and is lead urogynaecologist at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Trust, where he is responsible for the development and delivery of specialist urogynaecology services.

Mr Ibraheim, who has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of complex pelvic floor and bladder conditions, provides comprehensive assessment and treatment for women with pelvic floor dysfunction, tailoring care to individual symptoms, lifestyle needs and long-term outcomes.

He has a particular interest in advanced subspecialist treatments, including vaginal and perineal reshaping and refashioning, the management of bladder pain and voiding disorders, and minimally invasive therapies for pelvic floor conditions. His practice includes laser treatments for genitourinary syndrome of menopause and stress urinary incontinence, bladder instillation therapies, and BOTOX treatments for urgency, overactive bladder, vaginal pain and vaginismus. He is recognised for offering a wide range of both surgical and non-surgical options, enabling personalised care.

He is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member of the British Society of Urogynaecology and the International Urogynaecology Association. He qualified in medicine at Ain Shams University and has completed advanced specialist training in obstetrics, gynaecology and urogynaecology.

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Ibraheim has a strong commitment to teaching and research. He is an honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Liverpool Medical School and serves as a principal investigator for several major national clinical trials in pelvic floor surgery. These include the PROSPECT trial evaluating prolapse surgery, the VUE study assessing vault versus uterine prolapse surgery, and the SIMS trial investigating single-incision minisling procedures for urinary incontinence. He is also involved in multiple research projects focused on improving outcomes in female pelvic floor surgery.

His clinical approach emphasises careful assessment, clear communication and evidence-based treatment, with the aim of improving quality of life and restoring confidence for women affected by urogynaecological conditions.
