Mr Nikolaos Chatzizacharias is a distinguished consultant hepato-pancreato-biliary and liver transplant surgeon based in Birmingham. His areas of expertise include locally advanced pancreatic cancer, cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer), liver cancer, gallbladder surgery, and complex resections. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Chatzizacharias is active in research, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international conferences. He holds an honorary associate clinical professor position at the University of Birmingham, and he also serves as the principal investigator for the DISSECT trial, which investigates the role of periadventitial dissection in improving surgical margins during respectable pancreatic cancer surgery.

- What a guy!! My mum was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and was told by our local hospital this was inoperable. I saw Nik on a TV program on channel 5 (surgeons a matter of life and death) I searched him online, found his details. I called his secretary, she requested all my mum's paper work and since then we have not looked back. The most amazing, caring team. We will never be able to thank you enough Nik.
