Mr Panagiotis Drymousis is a highly accomplished consultant general and upper gastrointestinal surgeon based in London, where he practises at Nuffield Health Highgate Hospital. His clinical practice centres on the management of gallstone disease and biliary pathology, including cholecystectomy, as well as indigestion (dyspepsia), acid reflux, and abdominal wall hernias such as inguinal, femoral and umbilical hernias. He also undertakes abdominal wall reconstruction and treats complex upper gastrointestinal and emergency surgical conditions.
He completed his surgical training in Athens, Greece, before moving to the UK to advance his expertise in hepatobiliary and pancreatic (HPB) surgery. During this period, he completed a PhD with honours on complex upper gastrointestinal surgery and the prevention and management of surgical complications. He subsequently secured a Marie-Curie European Scholarship, which supported further advanced training and research in HPB and neuroendocrine surgery.
