Dr Paras Sharma

With over 30 years of experience as a paediatrician, Dr Paras Sharma is widely recognised for his expertise, compassion, and innovative approach to supporting children with neurodevelopmental needs. He has extensive experience in assessing and managing a wide range of conditions, including autism, ADHD, dyspraxia, tics, Tourette Syndrome, and sleeping difficulties. His deep understanding is built on decades of hands-on clinical practice and working closely with children and their families.

Dr Sharma’s patients come from across the UK and around the world, enabling families everywhere to benefit from his specialist knowledge and personalised approach to care. Rather than focusing solely on diagnoses, he takes the time to understand each child’s unique neurodevelopmental profile. This allows him to develop tailored management plans that support meaningful progress and help children reach their full potential.

In the NHS, Dr Sharma leads Autism, ADHD, and Neurodevelopment services at Epsom Hospital and also serves as the Lead Paediatric Consultant for Mental Health. Through these roles, he contributes to both high-quality clinical care and the ongoing development of specialist services. His extensive clinical background includes work at some of the UK’s most respected healthcare institutions, including University College London Hospital, Imperial College NHS Healthcare, Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, and St George's Hospital, bringing a wealth of expertise to his practice.

Dr Sharma understands that a child’s development is closely connected to their family environment. He works collaboratively with parents and carers to establish supportive routines and practical strategies that can be implemented at home.

He also works closely with teachers and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinators (SENDCos) to gain a full understanding of each child’s experiences in school. By taking a joined-up approach, he helps ensure children receive the appropriate support to succeed both academically and socially.
