Mr Pavol Surda is an outstanding consultant ENT surgeon based in London, who specialises in treating all otolaryngology-related conditions. He has a particular interest in managing issues associated with the respiratory system such as snoring, sleep-disordered breathing, nasal inflammation, and allergic rhinitis.
He achieved his medical qualifications in Slovakia, before moving to the UK, where he undertook registrar positions at Warrington Hospital and Bristol University Hospitals. Mr Surda then completed rhinology fellowships at both St George's Hospital, London and Academic Medical Center, Amsterdam.
Mr Surda currently works as a consultant ENT surgeon for Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and London Bridge Hospital, positions he has held since 2017 and 2019 respectively.
He is a member of ENT UK, Royal College of Surgeons of England, as well as the British, Czech and European Rhinologic societies. His vast knowledge of rhinology has seen him invited to speak at numerous events such as the Congress of the European Rhinologic Society, for whom he serves as a board member.
He is extremely passionate about research and development which has led to his participation in numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications. He is currently conducting PhD research on "rhinitis in athletes".
