Professional statement
Dr Qamar Ghafoor is a leading consultant clinical oncologist practising privately at Harborne Hospital.
He graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2002 and completed his specialist training in clinical oncology in the West Midlands. In 2011, he was appointed as a consultant clinical oncologist and currently serves as the oncology service lead at University Hospital Birmingham.
He has clinical expertise in managing lung cancer, mesothelioma, and skin cancers, using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and radiotherapy. Dr Ghafoor is the principal investigator for several national clinical trials and has authored publications in peer-reviewed journals.
He has also presented his work at international conferences.
