Mr Robin Rees

Mr Robin Rees is a highly experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in foot and ankle surgery in Staffordshire. He specialises in ankle, ankle arthroscopy and foot and ankle, alongside achilles tendon, ankle replacement surgery and sports injuries. He privately practises at Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital, while his NHS base is University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. 

Mr Rees has a particular interest in minimally invasive (keyhole) ankle surgery, total ankle replacement and reconstructive procedures following trauma. He is fellowship-trained in foot and ankle surgery, having completed advanced training in Brisbane, Australia. His approach combines surgical precision with evidence-based care, aiming for optimal recovery and long-term function.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Rees is the clinical lead for musculoskeletal oncology at his NHS Trust, overseeing the treatment of bone and soft tissue tumours. His broad expertise includes performing complex procedures such as Ilizarov frame surgery, subtalar arthroscopy and Achilles tendon reconstruction, as well as more common interventions like bunion correction (hallux valgus surgery), toe fusion and ingrown toenail surgery.

Mr Rees qualified from the University of Birmingham in 1993 and holds a Fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedics from the Royal College of Surgeons. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) and the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS).
