Mr Samuel K L Chan is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Harborne Hospital (HCA), specialising in trauma, arthritis, joint instability, tendon and sports injuries of the upper limbs, and has expertise in performing arthroscopic and joint replacement surgery.
Mr Chan qualified in 2003 from the University of Birmingham and undertook orthopaedic training in the West Midlands, which included a training fellowship at the Hand, Shoulder & Upper Limb Unit at the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, and a Shoulder & Elbow fellowship at the Liverpool Upper Limb Unit.
Mr Chan has been a consultant since 2016, and has gained a wealth of experience in treating complex shoulder and elbow conditions. He is regarded as an expert in elbow replacements within the region, and he has participated in the development of clinical pathways across primary and secondary care for elbow conditions.
