Mr Simon Mordecai

Mr Simon Mordecai is a highly skilled consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon based in London, practising at Chase Lodge Hospital. He specialises in the surgical and non-surgical management of foot and ankle conditions, with particular expertise in foot and ankle trauma, bunion correction, sports injuries, and minimally invasive surgery. He also treats Achilles tendon disorders, ankle arthritis, and chronic ankle instability, offering both surgical and non-surgical approaches tailored to the individual patient.

He studied medicine at University College London and completed a BSc in Orthopaedic Science at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. He undertook higher orthopaedic surgical training on the North West London Training Programme, gaining experience at major trauma centres including St Mary’s Hospital, the Royal Free London NHS Trust, and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. He further enhanced his expertise with a Master’s in Sports and Exercise Medicine (Merit) and a Diploma in Medical Education for Surgeons, reflecting his dedication to both clinical excellence and teaching.

Beyond his clinical practice, Mr Mordecai is actively involved in research and education. He has published numerous papers, contributed book chapters, and presented his work at national and international conferences. He is co-director of the Foot and Ankle Fellowship at Lister Hospital and serves as Orthopaedic Lead for the Diabetic Foot Multidisciplinary Team. He is also a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the Royal College of Surgeons of England, highlighting his commitment to advancing the field of foot and ankle surgery.
