Dr Susannah Woodrow

Dr Susannah Woodrow is a leading consultant gastroenterologist based in Surrey, practising privately at Spire Clare Park Hospital. She specialises in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, with particular expertise in inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, as well as Barrett’s oesophagus, coeliac disease and reflux-related disorders. She is committed to delivering personalised, patient-centred care through both face-to-face and remote consultations.

Dr Woodrow completed her medical degree at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School, before undertaking extensive specialist training at leading London institutions including St Mark’s Hospital, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and King’s College London. She further refined her expertise with advanced endoscopic training at St Mary’s Hospital. Alongside her clinical training, she pursued a higher degree in medical leadership with Manchester Business School and the Royal College of Physicians, reflecting her commitment to excellence in both clinical practice and healthcare management. She was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2021.

In her NHS role, Dr Woodrow is based at Frimley Park Hospital, where she works within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care. She serves as clinical lead for the endoscopy department at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust and also leads the regional endoscopy network across Surrey Heartlands and Frimley. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she is actively involved in research as a principal investigator on several studies focused on improving early detection and treatment of gastrointestinal conditions.
