Mr Veerabahu Maharajan

Mr Veerabahu Senthil Maharajan is a consultant ophthalmologist at Newmedica Nottingham and Newmedica Keyworth. He specialises in general ophthalmology – including cataract surgery, YAG laser treatment, and cornea grafts – with particular focus on cornea and anterior segment surgery,

Mr Maharajan qualified as an ophthalmologist in 1993 with a DNB from the National Academy of Medical Sciences in India. He came to the UK and became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists before pursuing a DM in ophthalmology at the University of Nottingham. He became a consultant corneal surgeon in 2005 at the Queen’s Medical Centre.
