Dr Younus Saleem

Dr Younus Saleem is an experienced and accomplished consultant forensic psychiatrist specialising in ADHD, autistic spectrum disorder, post- traumatic stress disorder, depression, bipolar affective disorder and panic attacks.

Dr Saleem’s qualifications include an MBA with distinction from the University of Nottingham, UK, an MRCPsych, and an MBBS from India, which have provided him a solid foundation in various aspects of psychiatry.

Dr Saleem’s career highlights include establishing The Wells Road Centre, where he is currently employed as a consultant forensic psychiatrist. His efforts in this role have been recognised through multiple Clinical Excellence Awards, reflecting his commitment to improving patient care.

He has a proven track record in challenging settings, including low secure and community forensic services. He possesses expertise in forensic, community, and general psychiatry, as well as medico-legal knowledge gained from working with legal entities. This includes preparing expert reports for different legal proceedings.

In addition to clinical work, he has been involved in teaching and training. Dr Saleem has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students at institutions like Nottingham University, contributing to the education of future psychiatrists.
