Dr Zaid Ali

Dr Zaid Ali is a consultant in restorative dentistry, practising with Gomersal Dental Lounge. He specialises in advanced implantology and prosthodontics, complex restorative dentistry, dental trauma, endodontic treatment, immediate loading implants, sinus lift, and surgical endodontics.

Dr Ali qualified from the University of Leeds in 2006 and has trained in restorative dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery in Leeds and Bradford. He was made a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2009, and a fellow in 2018. He. undertook speciality training in restorative dentistry at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, which he completed in 2018, and during which he also completed, in 2013, a master’s degree in fixed and removable prosthodontics at the University of Manchester. Dr Ali was awarded a PhD from the University of Sheffield in 2018 for his thesis on oral health-related quality of life in partially dentate patients. He holds an additional certification in aesthetic and restorative dentistry from the University of Lancashire. He is currently the lead of dental rehabilitation for patients with head or neck cancers at Leeds Dental Institute.

Outside of his practice, Dr Ali is committed to dental research and education. He has published 14 peer-reviewed articles and partakes as the Training Programme Director for dental core training at the Leeds Dental Institute, and has previously been the Middle Years Trainer, guiding trainees throughout their core training years. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Leeds Dental Institute.
