The hospital has 60 beds over five wards, three theatres, 15 consulting rooms and an ambulatory care unit which includes two Theatres for minor surgery. The hospital’s extensive imaging department houses CT, MRI, X-ray, digital mammography, ultrasound and bone densitometry, alongside a nuclear medicine department. Alongside surgery, patients can also attend the hospital for private cancer care, physiotherapy and pathology (the hospital has a laboratory for blood tests and analysis). The on-site pharmacy also enables convenient collection of prescribed medication. Mount Alvernia’s private GPs are also based in the hospital; they offer 30-minute appointments and can easily refer onward to expert specialists, as well as for tests, scans and physiotherapy should patients require them.
