Professional statement
Mr Addie Majed is a leading consultant shoulder and elbow orthopaedic surgeon. His specialities include, but are not limited to, shoulder instability, arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), joint replacements and complex rotator cuff surgery. He can provide treatment for many conditions, such as sports-related injuries, tennis elbow, stiffness, golfer's elbow and more.
He currently practices in London at the Spire Bushey Hospital Diagnostic Centre, in Spire Bushey Hospital and in the world-renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital at both the Stanmore and Bolsover Street locations.
Mr Majed trained at St Mary's Hospital Medical School and gained a BSc in the field of neuroscience along with the standard MBBS qualification. Later, he continued further training at St Mary's Hospital and gained his post-graduate certificate to become an orthopaedic surgeon. During his training, he was awarded several fellowships, some of these travelling fellowships. He also gained an MD at Imperial College in his internationally recognised work on Proximal Humeral Fractures.
Mr Majed greatly contributes to research by participating in scientific papers and books as well as publishing over 30 papers and giving over 50 presentations nationally and internationally. He is a member of the British Shoulder and Elbow Society Research Committee, and his research interests include proximal humeral fractures, shoulder instability, shoulder and elbow arthroplasty infection management and surgical decision making.
